The Amazona Society UK
Special thanks to The Amazona Society UK for their donation of US $700 to the PI Bahama Parrot “Adopt a Nest” Program to support the 2010 breeding season research and conservation project on Abaco Island. This generous donation supports a subspeicies of Amazona leucocephala that may be deserve recognition as a separate species based on genetics, behavior, vocalization, nesting ecology and morphology (personal communication Caroline Stahala). The Bahama Parrot is truly special.
