A Magical Journey Awaits You - at the 6th International Parrots International Symposium
We’re within weeks of our 2010 Symposium, and if you’d like to attend, but haven’t yet reserved your place, let us tempt you with our preview of what you’ll be able to enjoy.
The Symposium will be held at the US Grant Hotel, San Diego, California, from May 13 - 15.

Species to be covered range from the Slender-billed Conure in Chile to the Blue Macaws of Al Wabra Wildlife Preservation, and Brazil’s Red-tailed Amazons, and Green-winged and Hyacinth Macaws. The Pyrrhura Conure, Great-green Macaw, and the indigenous parrots of Africa, Madagascar and the Mascarene Islands will all be under discussion as well.
Unsurprisingly, conservation features prominently amongst the topics to be discussed, and there’ll also be presentations on Avian Bornavirus, health monitoring in Brazil, 10 years of saving parrots in Colombia, and what the wild can teach our pets.
An optional extra will be a day visit to San Diego Zoo, during which Steve Martin’s team will present a lecture/demonstration of the training techniques and concepts which he and his trainers at Natural Encounters have developed, and there’ll also be a visit to the new Elephant Odyssey Exhibit… followed by an exclusive after-hours VIP Zoo catered dinner overlooking the zoo animals.
