National Parrot Rescue and Preservation Foundation
Special thank you to the National Parrot Rescue and Preservation Foundation for their generous donation of $500 to the Spix’s School Project. These funds will continue to assist in the support of the local school and the education of both children and adults (learning to read and write). The Spix’s Macaw School serves to create and develop the support of the local community for the future reintroduction of the Spix’s Macaw back into the wild…in the land surrounding the Spix’s Macaw School. The support of the local indigenous community is crucial to the successful reintroduction of the Spix’s Macaw, now extinct in the wild.
