The Start of the New Project Season 2009-2010!
Project update: Thursday, 5 November 2009
We have just started field work for the 2009-2010 season! Gemma, a French volunteer from the UK (Falkland Islands) arrived 2 days ago. She is already in the field (it has been raining almost every day!). We visited 2 other farms (on the way to Puyehue) were there are at least 5 more nests. This afternoon we are meeting here with Gemma and three other student volunteers from Universidad Austral. I have high expectations for this breeding season and would like to check all the previous year nests plus another 20-40 more we may find!!!
